II: Spam Is People. Spam Is Art. Art Is Spam :II
SpamArt is not just data, not just JPEGs — it is people. A pluralist cloud-collective of artists
from every continent floods Mini-Metaverses, overruns opinion marketplaces, and invades IRL spaces.
Works are minted in every format and pushed into wallets without permission. Nobody is safe. Even
the Centre Pompidou, careful collector of digital art, woke up to find itself an unwilling owner of SpamArt.
This is not failure – it is the point. SpamArt values people first, everything else comes after.
Digital Dada for the Doom-Scroll Age
SpamArt is Dada reborn for 2052: chaos as critique, absurdity as survival. Like Beuys’
“Everyone is an artist,” but twisted into: everyone is a SPAM-Artist.
It inherits the spirit of the Dadaists, but with new weapons: NFTs, bots, AI generators,
collective raids. It thrives in permissionless zones where abundance replaces rarity.
The aura is gone — and yet reborn, meaty and uncanny: JPGs with aura.

The Trojan Horse
SpamArt is a Trojan horse for critical thinking. What looks like garbage or canned spam enters
systems and forces the questions no one can finally answer: What makes art valuable?
Is uniqueness possible in a copyable world? If everything can be minted, does scarcity even matter?
Spam is Schrödinger’s Cat: art and anti-art, alive and dead, framed and unframed, all at once.
Art as Overdose
A century ago, the Dadaists turned nonsense into art. SpamArt takes it further — celebrating chaos,
elevating garbage, thriving on speed and scale. And that makes it unique in its refusal of uniqueness.
As @2eyes2you observes, SpamArt “transforms the digital landfill into a paradoxical collection.”
For OoakosiMo,
it is resistance: proof that art doesn’t need to be rare, profitable, or polished to matter.
The Language of Spam
For Bittty Gordon,
SpamArt is almost childlike — pathetic, innocent, just laughing and spamming.
Street spammer John Hamon,
pasting his face across cities since 2001, calls it proof that curated contemporary art is over.
Decentralized, lawless, free from gatekeepers — this is the new art cycle.
SpamArt as Stress Test
SpamArt exposes the weak underbelly of Web3. Wallets cannot say no. The blockchain offers no “unsubscribe.”
Today, SpamArt clogs wallets with unsolicited NFTs. Tomorrow, the same mechanics will carry advertising,
propaganda, or scams. SpamArt is not just an aesthetic. It is a stress test. A fire extinguisher for the
Metaverse. It interrupts, breaks, and burns away illusions of control.
The Future Is Spam
SpamArt feels endless, but every flood carries the mood of a last gesture. Each unsolicited NFT could
be the end of art — or the beginning of something else. SpamArt is liberation and pollution. It is both
overdose and refresh. It is anger transmuted into comedy. It is the proof that art doesn’t need to be rare,
profitable, or polished to matter. Perhaps SpamArt is the final stage of art history. Or perhaps it is just spam.

Unst exhibit– recap
Dear Visitors.
Thx that so many showed up — it was overwhelming.
Besides our bubble and frens, I need to say special thx to Marc and Steffi — you said the nicest things artists can hear. Mega Merci!
Same goes to the skinny-dipping trio — hope to see you again. “Tschüss!”
Shout out to the two ladies who really dove into the AR stuff.
There were so many ppl who brought this exhibition to life — that’s what makes art, imho. THX you all!
Maybe IRL is the Metaversum? I don’t know — but this IRL experience could only grow bc of the digital crowd that influenced me so hard. THX u 1000x #JPGfam + #spamart party + #cryptoart pioneers — and to the anon cloud artists supporting this project: you sparked it. Your echoes and shadows were with us Ü

Pegelstand
Shop Window Exhibition February 2025. Pegelstand a minimalist-abstract landscape that transforms in real-time and continuously changes as a digital form of process art.
Controlled by Open-API data, a new ship appears every five minutes, visualizing the current water level of the Rhine at kilometer 780 Duisburg-Ruhrort, precisely where the sculpture Rheinorange is located.
Additionally, wind speed, cloud density, temperature, and star constellations change dynamically throughout the day, reflecting the current conditions.

Minted Aug 17, 2023
23 editions
For the #24cryptoart event on 05/05/23, a metaverse space was created and opened to the public for 24 hours, where artists collaboratively filled it with black-and-white 3D sculptures.
After the event, the space was erased, leaving behind only visual documentation.
Selected images from the space were later embedded into this 3D sculpture as a tribute to the exhibition.
Many thanks to all the artists involved Ü
