Who are Funbot & Fieser
Funbot & Fieser are a media art duo living and working in Duisburg, Germany. Their work emerges at the intersection of digital spatial production, sculpture, public space and self-developed production systems.
At the center of their practice is the question of how digital processes can be materialized. With Equus3D , they are developing a large-scale production system based on a self-built 3D hangprinter. Traces of production generate a process-based aesthetic, the machine itself becomes sculptural, and an urban process situation emerges.
Their works connect additive plastic form with public production. Translations between media, transitional states and technical disruptions are integral to their practice.
